School Frustrations

Is it me or do teachers expect to much from our children sometimes?

My daughter is in first grade "gifted class" and is suppose to be doing book reports on a regular basis. What should I do?

I am in a situation like many other mothers.I was in an abusive relationship,now I'm pregnant,not financially stable,and trying to get back on my feet. What are you claiming independence from? Seven years ago, I claimed my independence from mediocrity. I left a relationship that was a dramatic roller coaster, I began pursuing an advanced degree, I reclaimed my fitness, and I began to nurture the inklings of a postive relationship.
