My husband is a coffee addict.
He can drink coffee all day, every day, and still sleep like a baby.
Although, he loves the french press I bought him, he loves Starbucks more.
I have my work cut out for me. {wink}
I think it's great whenever a conglomerate does anything worthwhile that positively impacts the environment. They're always so quick to announce it, how can one not give them their moment in the spotlight?
However, I am always fascinated as to why we don't immediately hear about whenever they're doing something that negatively impacts us.
Sure, Starbucks had the first-ever post-consumer, recycled beverage cup.
Sure, they carry fair trade coffee (at the insistence of its patrons).
Sure, they tout themselves as "contributing positively to our community and the environment".
What they won't tell us is that they're wasting MILLIONS of gallons of water EVERY day at EVERY location.
That's right. I said millions, and the reason for the waste is even more ridiculous.
Live well!
