As a progressive, independent woman, I enjoy the freedom of choosing where I want to spend my money and the things I buy for me and my family whether it is food, clothing, toiletries, or whatever. When it comes to major spending, I've learned to ask my husband. The deciding factor is probably whether his money will be involved in obtaining or sustaining said purchase. It's also true for saving and investing also. I guess I am just reflecting on whether I am doing the right thing, if I am trying to control everything, or if maybe he is controlling everything from afar. When do you think it is necessary to consult your partner about what you're spending?
