I am thinking of starting a Black Moms Club Newsletter? Would you be interested in something like this? If so, what kind of information would you like it to include?

I think that this is a great idea. LaShanda you could even go so far as having your own cute kids of the BMC and feature them on a ebook cover, custom banner design and or website graphic...that would be awesome! I would love to see maybe some recipe submissions, not just from myself, because that's what I do, but from all members who wanted to participate in something like a recipe exchange. Times are hard enough...staying in is the thing to do and sharing recipes with each other can give us something new to introduce. Just a few thoughts.

Yes, a newsletter would be great. I would like to see an achievement section so that we know to celebrate our moms who are graduating from college, vocational schools or those who achieved their GED. In addition, a birthday section will be welcomed and a birth announcements also. That's all I can think of.

I think a newsletter would be great! Recipe swaps, dealing with high energy/challenging children, homeschooling, pregnancy and new baby articles would really be welcomed! Not to mention it would be nice to see a newsletter from an African American perspective!

Thats really cool. You can also do mom of the week or month and have the mother tell her story and feature her.

I think a News LeTter is a great idea! You could have a poem for each week and or words of inspiration! I could help out with the poems. Are there any other Moms into poetry , maybe they would like to help too. I like the idea of mother of the week or month. I also like Latrice Flowers idea of having a cute kids of BMC!
You could have a whats hot whats not in fashion tips.

I would also like to see tips on growing hair for children. I'm having the hardest time with my own hair and with my 8 and 11 year old's hair as well and resources, product reviews would be so helpful to me and my family and to others I'm sure.

That is a beautiful idea! I would love to see information about parenting skills, healthy tips for mothers and other members of the family and maybe a section for our babies to submit short stories, poetry, etc.

What about highlighting black fathers. I know I would love to share with the group about my husband and what he means to our family. Black fathers that are participating (married or single) should get the exposure, and our sons need to see it!
