Hi everyone, i have a little girl which i call her my little Diva, (9). I looking to get tips and share ideas on raising a girl. She wants her nails done and I'm scared to get them done for her. My hubby says she's too young. But i just don't want her to grow up so fast.

I have a Diva for a daughter. I started from day one making sure she presented herself as a young lady. The frilly dresses, with the lacey slips underneath and big bows, started as soon as she could walk. The white gloves was a must and her hair had to be just right. Only one bow because she had long hair and didnt need a lot of accessories, but it had to be perfect. The bow had to be a certain color, material and a certain design. Wow,,,,I can't believe I acted like that,,,,,,but man did I create a monster. She is 17 now getting ready to graduate, I love watching her she still carries herself as a lady, with the makeup, high fashion ideas, and clothes out of this world,,,and personality of course. She is somewhat spoiled but oh well, I made her like that. I remember one easter when she 8, looking for lace pantyhose with the lace on the butt. The saleslady said they only carry those for the little girls. I said mine was a little girl she ment the toddlers like 4 up to 5 or 6. I had to laugh to myself because I knew all along what she ment. I just wanted to keep her in those dresses as long as possible because you can't get any girlier than that,,,,and the outfits they have for little girls now, are too grownup. But now she is into Hollister, Abercrombie, Mac Makeup, H & M........she is getting ready for the prom,,,,and we are in a mad rush to find a gown.....I have few ideas,,,,we even emailed Mychael Knight from Project Runway Reality Show. He responded and told us the dress she wants, cannot be created by him....and he is too busy but he thanked us for the love....My daughter loves him.......at this point I have an appointment with a designer next week..to see what our options are. You know the dress has to be just right. I do not want it too look like it was made... If anyone has any ideas on what I should do or know of any one who can duplicate a designer dress...please drop me a line.....please please please. OH BY THE WAY, I HAVE A SON TOO HE IS 21,,,BUT I HAVE TO PAMPER HIM ON THE DOWNLOW,,,HE DOESN'T WANT HIS BOYS TO KNOW THAT HE IS A MOMMYS BOY.....HEE HEE....

IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN , MORE SO GIRLS WE ALL KNOW THE THREE MAJOR BIRTHDAYS ARE HER, SWEET SIXTEEN, (OR FIFTEEN, FOR OTHER NATIONALITES) EIGHTTEEN, AND TWEENTY ONE. AND I KNOW WE HAVE ALL SEEN THE HIT MTV SHOW "MY SWEET SIXTEEN" WELL IF YOU ARE A SINGLE PARENT LIKE I AM OR YOU HAVE A LIMITED BUDGET TO LIVE ON PARTIES THAT LAVISH ARE JUST NOT POSSIBLE. WE ALL WANT OUR CHILDREN TO HAVE THE BEST. WE ALL WANT OUR CHILDREN TO FEEL SPECIAL. WE ALL WANT OUR DAUGHTERS TO FEEL LIKE A PRINCESS ON HER SPECIAL DAYS... I KNOW... I KNOW, THE PARTIES YOU SEE ON MTV ARE COMPLETELY OVER THE TOP, AND THE AVERAGE PARENT WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD IT.

YOUR CHILD CAN BE A SUPER STAR AND YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO BREAK THE BANK...
