How can we get ahead with bad credit and little income? Sometimes it seems impossible to me. My credit is bad mainly due two bad marriages. Everything fell on me; Now I can not get anything on credit. It is so hard when your children need things and you can barely provide for them. I am in school at the Axia College of the University of Phoenix-on line. Currently I am not working. This is new for me because I have always had at least one job if not two. I do not know what to do! My boyfriend is wonderful, but cant be of much help right now because of an on the job injury. Now he has had to apply for his disability. I do not know what to do. Money is almost "0" and we need so many things. HELP!!!!!!!!!! All this is due to bad credit.

You have to start to re establish yourself somewhere.Get a job to build some savings and some cushion and stop living on any existing credit that you have open. If you can't pay cash for it,Don't buy it. Girl, As a single parent, credit is a major asset, especially if you don't have family to depend on. Your credit is everything. Work on it , Girl... You can do it......Every little bit helps, save anything you can...Eliminate things that aren't necessary.....

I'm not a single mom, but I have had my bouts with debt. I don't know if you are saved or not. However, if you are, first and foremost put your trust in God. You will have to get a job. I know how hard it is going to be with school, but some sacrifices have to be made. Also, look into debt settlement with creditsolutions.com. This is not an advertisement. I was $12, 600 in credit card debt and I couldn't afford to make anymore monthly payments. My husband didn't know because he would have flew through the roof. Basically debt settlement has you stop paying your monthly payments. This will mess up your credit, but since yours is already bad it doesn't matter. When you get your job, you will have to put money aside monthly. The company will make a settlement offer for you and once you pay that account you are done with one account. God was good to me because I was able to finish the program in 6 months and I saved over $6000. Do not do debt consolidation. That shows up as a chapter 13 bankruptcy on your credit report. Debt settlement just shows a few late payments. I hope that helped.
