Barefoot Books Story

Barefoot Books
Barefoot Books is a small, independent children's publisher that was started in 1993 by two mothers. It has grown into a well-known, internationally acclaimed publishing house that offers more than 400 products. We focus on folk tales, fairy tales, stories from around the world, and the music of language.

Here are just a few of our many books:

I sell board books for infants and toddlers, rhyming read alouds for young children, storybooks and story collections for children through middle school. Many of our books come with audio CDs with stories or music. We just released our first flap books this spring and will soon have a lovely baby scrapbook. You'll also find coloring and activity books on my website. Prices start at $4.99.

~Remember that books are gifts that will be used for many months and years. They also make a difference in a child's life that cannot be underestimated. Barefoot Books are library quality and stand up to heavy use. You won't find them at Barnes & Noble or Borders.

Does your child, niece or nephew have an upcoming birthday? Books make the perfect gift as they are educational. Check out our gift collections. Books starting as low as $6

I believe reading to my children is one of the most important things I can do. Not only does it give them motivation to learn and develop independent reading, good books expose children to the world. Books help children improve communication skills, explore emotions and exposes them to a number of different characters, cultures and role models.

"It’s Crunch Time!”, This is a new children’s book by Marie Brewer. Find it on www.bbotw.com (www.helenbrewer.com for the link to book) This is my book of muscle for boys (ages 9-12) to point them in the direction of HOPE!...This is an interactive book where they can write about their feelings. It discusses acceptable behavior, honesty, good self-image, respect for females and animals, appreciation for teachers/school, choosing good friends. The book also talks about resisting gangs, guns, drugs, violence, alcohol and bad influences. Let's attack the behavior, not the boy. Hi Ladies! I'm Demika Caldwell, a self-published children's book author from Chicago. Please check out my first book in the Kennedy series, "Manners Stink!" It's a great picture book for boys and girls!

"Manners Stink!"

Kennedy is a smart, cute, vivacious little girl, who adores being with her family and friends. She loves the months October thru December because of her birthday and all of the fun she has during the holidays. However, this holiday season Kennedy’s mom has plans for her that she may not enjoy… only to find that she may learn something along the way.

I hope to network and connect with you ladies!

Demika Caldwell

Talee's World Blog is a great blog for kids. Read posts, vote in polls & download coloring pages. Read what Talee says about an old photo she found of herself and Nola. http://wp.me/p37WQ4-4y
