Well....I guess I will be the first one.
My name is Kim. I have 4 kids. My business name is Suga Mama LLC. My hobbies are numerous, but here are a few. Writing, Reading, Entertaining, and working on my new business Suga Mama.
I don't remember how I found out BMC but I know it was by accident. I am new, so I am really just beginning to connect with the other moms on the site. Unfortunately, I am not able to contribute to BMC on a daily basis, but I would say 2x week. I am here to connect first because it is Black Mothers! and we share a unique experience that we understand. Second: To share, inform, educate, and empower each other. Third: I really wasn't here for business but this is a business bonus to network and exchange with other persons with like minds.
The Groups I recommend are.... so far- are all the groups I belong to.
Topics I would like to discuss more at WAHM are: initial stages of your business( forms, registering your business, info on manufacturers, distributors, mentors, grants, etc.)
I am in my beginning stages and have already touched these areas but it may be helpful for others I'm sure. When I done with this stage in my business I will definitely share in discussion with other moms.

thank you so much for stopping by and sharing your posts! it is nice to see members participating especially since it is so hard to think of things to keep you active and involved but things are coming don't worry!
I have a lot on my plate right now so I can't stop in all of the time but your always on my mind and I am taking note of all of your suggestions.
For you Mimi a small tip on building a customer base:
* Attend conferences and Fairs pertaining to your business industry or that compliment your industry
* When you attend conferences always have one prize give-a-way and in order to qualify to receive the prize have the attendees complete an entry form that will allow you to collect their e-mail information and keep in touch with them after any event
* Remember your loyal customers those who keep coming back. Offer them special discounts or even a small free product if they refer 4 or more paying customers to your business
* Remember what your current customers like most and when you get more of those products in give them a call or send them a note to let them know it is in. Just a personal touch!
* Send a small thank you note for their business with each product delivery that a customer makes, let them feel appreciated
* Host a website contest everynow and again to bring in new customers to view your product
So Kim, tell me more about Suga Mama do you have a website?

Hello Everyone,
I love being in the company of creative people and people who are enjoying their "Life's Journey." I was a SAHM with three girly-girls who never cease to amaze me but I just needed a little something just for me, hence the Blog, directory and network, now I am a WAHM. I love the life that God has granted me, I'm grateful. I believe I have a lot of things to share and I have a lot I want to learn also. I enjoy participating in this network.
I have a Online Indie Fashion and Beauty Directory, “HEAD TO TOE WE DIRECT YOU WHERE TO GO,” that lists online and offline, Unique Indie Artists that design Clothing ,Fashion Accessories and also Beauty Professionals (formulator’s) and their crafts; make-up, body care products,

I love sharing what I know, the directory combines my love for creative people and my 18 years sales experience to promote our favorite Indie Clothing and fashion accessories artist/ designers, affording them as a group even more visibility.

Shalom. My name is Tamar and I have a 3 year old. Our family business is Rasyth Enterprises LLC. I work mainly in the Real Estate area of that particular business. I started a business called Antiques & Fine Art 4 everyone While the idea of investing in Fine Art and Antique Furniture sounds good, the world of Antiques and Fine Art can become very overwhelming and discouraging for a novice. There are very little people of color in the business although wealth and prosperity is spoken about throughout scripture. Antiques and Fine Art 4 Everyone caters especially to people who do not have a lot of money but want to start investing is appreciating assets that they use daily like furniture, flatware, etc. I am the publisher of our Antiques & Art 4 Everyone.Magazine. Knowledge is power and we want to pass on as much of our knowledge to mainly people of color. Ironically my hobby is looking for and collecting antiques and fine art. I also love to play with my son. I like to travel also. I found out about BMC through Black Planet. I am very new to BMC so I don't have any friends or contact but hope to make many since I strongly feel that the creator wants me to be apart of this Network. I spend at least 1 hour on BMC. I can't pinpoint one or two groups, I think that all groups are very positive. I would like to see more topics on creating wealth and legacies for our children. Todah(thank-you) for the invitation.
