Hi Athena! Thank you for your interest. I am currently the Youth Coordinator at my church & community liaison. We do a number of things that is affiliated with outreach. We volunteer services to the senior nursing & rehabilitation centers. Unwed mothers, women of war whose husbands are in Iraq, hospice residents, and etc. We do a number of things. We started this outreach program called, "BOC Youth Explosion" & "Gang Intervention"(Male members of the community & church meet, plan outings, and discuss social issues of our neighborhoods & families. Right now we are looking into funding for a community/recreation center & outdoor basketball court. We do many benefits. At the present time my mom & I have became business owners. We have a shop & plan to sell beauty supplies & a variety of novelties. We are looking for resources to assist us. We are looking to banks, organizations local & abroad, and govt. funding of grants. I am excited about spring & summer activities as ideas flow through my mind. What are you into now? Maybe we can learn or gather information from each other. Feel free to share & expound. I'm all ears! Thanks again for your interest! I look forward towards hearing from you about the exciting things you are doing.
P.S. I am really looking for safe & fulfilling outlets for women & men 27 & up. I want to start something nice here. There are very few spots. I want something fun, where there are NO KIDS ALLOWED!!LOL

Hi Athena, I've been in Vegas for almost two years now. I relocated from Michigan for work. I'm getting along okay here, just too hot for me in the summer though. This time of year is what makes me enjoy living here. I'mve been in contact with some of the other mothers on this site in Vegas.
