I must agree with Lasanda. I am far from shocked. I saw a 1st grader completely undress on the play ground while dancing because "that's how my mama does it!" This is what happen when women raise their daughters to be women and not LADIES!

My son used to watch television with the caption on. He knew even when he was three that the words on the screen were the same ones they were saying. Needless to say, he excelled in all his reading. Television can have its advantages.

I think a newsletter would be great! Recipe swaps, dealing with high energy/challenging children, homeschooling, pregnancy and new baby articles would really be welcomed! Not to mention it would be nice to see a newsletter from an African American...

After being a stay at home mom for 11 months, I am back teaching... In a new state and don't know a lot of people. Those that I work with, I don't have a lot in common with. Hopefully, I will meet like minded moms here.

In Spite of Everything Going On...

Everytime you turn on the news, there is a depressing story of some horrible tragedy that has taken place in a school. Today, while watching CNN's Prime News there was a story of an 8th grader in Baytown, TX who gave birth to a little boy then stuffed toilet paper in his mouth and tried to flush him down the toilet. If that wasn't enough, the next story was of 3 white female TEACHERS who had all been arrested for having sex with students. One teacher in Alabama slept with 8 boys on her school's… Continue

Been a While

Well, we moved and I am so happy. We've unpacked, started decorating, and everyone is happy in our new home. Unfortunately, we lost our satelite and have been forced to get cable. Thankfully, we're saving money everywhere else. We're both closer to work- less gas. The utilities are cheaper and I now have high speed internet!

A Day In MY Life

Last week was something else. GiGi had surgery last Tuesday. After 6 ear infections and repeated bouts of croup, her ENT physician decided it was time to replace the tubes in her ears and remove her adenoides. The hospital here has given my the blues and made me so upset, because they didn't want to get me a referral to see an outside provider. Makes Me Wanna Holler

I don't know if I like this title because of the song by Marvin Gaye or the book by Nathan McCall. Which, if you haven't read, you should. It is really an awesome book. Anyway and anyhow...
