Hi Germanie,
Sorry it took me so long to respond. To answer your question....I think it depends on the requirements in your state. For example, I was a probation officer in South Carolina with just a Bachelor's, but Texas requires at least one year of grad school. My suggestion- Check out http://www.lawenforcementjobs.com/ to get an idea of the types of jobs and the educational requirements for each. I hope that helps.

Hey the online class thing sounds great, thats whats up. You see there is always a way around every challenge you just have to think outside the box and meditate on your situations with the LORD. Good luck with that! Don't worry about your daughter, I have a feeling she will be just find with such a smart mom. As you know I have 6 kids, and I have noticed that your circumstances and your environment shape your childs personality and what kind of person they will be later down the line. If you are secure and focused what better example to set for a burgeoning and blossoming young lady. My oldest daughter is a "girly girl". The karate thing didnt work for her either, and Your daughter may be a little too young for ROTC (Middle school). However I had a niece that had a hard time for a while and it started to impact her personality in a negative fashion (Not to compare her to yours, but they are the same age) and she joined a praise and worship dance team (mime dance) and it worked wonders for he selfesteem and she is sooooooo good at it. She does shows at churches and wins trophies at competitions. That might be a perfect activity for your baby girl too, just a friendly suggestion. HAPPY EASTER YA'LL!

Well here it goes, it sounds like you have spent too much time and energy on the b/f. If he has taken advantage (bullied)of you it sounds similar to what you daughter is going through. I don't want to judge, so I won't comment on what I think you did wrong. So my advice is to focus your career planning, schooling, and schedule around your daughter. Get more involved with her schooling. At this age we think its OK to back off a little because they are getting older, when really we should be doing the exact opposite. This is a hard age for kids sense they are aquiring hormones and espaecially with relocating. Find some kind of confidence boosting activity for after school like drill tean or ROTC maybe karate. Then build your schedule around that. Don't forget to network. Girl there are so many "ride-to-work" and free buspass resources and referrals out there for single mothers. Use that to your advantage, and don't forget to pray about it. Then when your b/f sees that you are handling your biz (at first he might be a little jealous, but just let that roll of your back) maybe he will follow suit and "act right." DONT SHOW YOUR DAUGHTER HOW TO BE A PUSH OVER OR A QUITER. And make you mom proud by following through with something.

Hi Hon! Congratz on your move and welcome to the A!! LOL! I live in the city of Atlanta; they have a lot of Charter Schools that are great if you live in the city. My son is going to Morningside elementary next semester. We just so happen to be relocating to a great school district! I suggest Grant Park Chandler Little Five Points North Virginia Highland or North Druid areas to live. Great neighborhoods to raise children in if you like city living. As far as burbs...STAY AWAY FROM CLAYTON COUNTY LOL! That school district has lost accreditation. For Suburbia Cobb & Gwinnett offer the best school systems in GA I think. Hope you move to the city I love it!! Contact me anytime as well as when you get here maybe we can hang out!! Talk to you soon ~ Sharron
