Hello,
In June I completed an internship in mental health (outpatient and inpatient) some of the resources that I used for groups and resources were samhsa.org, nami.org, and Mary Ellen Copeland's Wellness Recovery Action Plan (W.R.A.P.) I got good…
I think it was a great idea to start this group. I am a health care professional and in my experience I find that not only is mental illness stigmatized, but I feel that it is heavily stigmatized in the African American community.
This group is designed for mothers who suffer
with any sort of mental illness, ie depression,
bipolar disorder, etc. Please send any comments
that will assist in dealing with mental illness or
recommendations for physicians, books, etc
This is very offensive, not just to African Americans but to American's in general. I think it is great for stores/companies to market toys to the African American population, however this idea or lack thereof is simply unacceptable.
I would like to connect with other mothers and professionals in the Black Community.
How did you find the black moms club?

How many children do you have?
