- Wow.....8 lbs at 3 weeks early! They thought I was having and 8 lb baby too, but she was close enough to 8. I had her a week late tho. She was stubborn. I found out I have this blood disorder when I was prego. Its called thalassemia and its genectic. Never knew I had it till I was prego and I had to see a specialist and it was just very scary because no one really knew what it was. I have a great specialist now. I get blood transfusions on the regular so it should be better 2nd time around hopefully!
