Why join the Black Moms Network?

I am a single mother of two employed full time as a career Counselor and pursuing two masters degrees online. I am in need of some adult interaction with other women of color in terms of support in wieght loss and motivation . I am wanting to develop a network of friends that will encourage me to come out of my shell and be more confident about my appearance. I would also like to come in contact with a partner that is willing to take me for me as I try to walk closer with GOD.

I am doing my dissertation on parenting stress and social support among African American mothers. I am inviting you to participate. This is an important study because there’s a lack of studies about our parenting issues and experiences.

To participate you must have a biological child between age of 5-9, married (first time) or single (not divorced or separated) and US Citizen. If husband/mate in the home, he must be biological father of at least one of your children.
