Why join the Black Moms Network?
I was very excited to stuble upon this Network. My main reason for staying home was to homeschool and raise my son like the creator of this network. We need more positive networks with people of color. The ones that do exist are few and faw between.

About Me:
I am a stay at home em(mom)while I run several of our businesses from home so I can raise and homeschool our son. My family and I moved to the country from the city because it is peaceful and gorgeous in West Virginia. We own 4 pieces of properties out right with no mortgages which includes one commercial property. Our combined networth is over 1.7 million. Even if all you can afford is $50 a week, in one year at $50 dollars a week we can increase your network by 5,000. You must learn to invest in the things that are important to those that run the society that you live in. That is the only source of material wealth. Stay tuned into my blog for more invaluable information.

OPPORTUNITY IS KNOCKING AT YOUR DOOR

Shalom and many blessings to you all. I apologize for the delay, but as I have mentioned before, there are a lot of opportunities out there, and we have been blessed to embark on many. From Real estate, to antiques, to stocks. They are out there, at bargain basement prices. When I spoke to a friend of our family several weeks ago, my first question to him was, what have you invested in? He replied that he was not brave enough to invest right now. He wanted to stay away from investing in stocks a… Continue

LESS SPENDING MORE CREATIVE INVESTING

Now is the time to invest in assets like stock, commodities, antiques, etc. Since we are in recession there are a lot of opportunities to get in at the bottom and work your way up to the top. Why did Indy Mac and Bear Sterns close . "Fear". No matter how much you analyze this tragedy, people panicked and started pulling their money out. As mentioned before, the lesson that we all must learn from this event, is that you have to believe that you take care of your money better than anyone else. Som… Continue

PREPARE FOR YOUR BLESSINGS

I am so glad that I started this blog. I have met so many people that are exactly like me when I was younger. I laugh about it now, but I always had a plan a, b, and c. This was reflected in my finances and work habits as well. I had an account to pay my bills, one to cover that account just in case my first account fell short, and money stashed away for a rainy day, just in case both accounts fell into the red. I had three jobs. My main job was as a state worker. My second job was working for m… Continue

THE SEARCH FOR HIDDEN TREASURES

When I was younger , my father who was in the military, was stationed in Turkey. So my family and I lived there for a while. While we were there my parents use to take my brother and I along to buy rugs and carpets. Again, as children my brother and I did not understand why were being dragged to different rug and carpet places. I did not think anything of it until a couple of years ago, when we started seriously investing in antique rugs and carpets. Turkey has several of the most expensive type… Continue

PLANT SEEDS OF WEALTH AND CHANGE IN YOUR CHILDREN

Although my father and I have two different perspectives on Entrepreneurship and Real Estate, he planted the seed in me by always telling me that my long term goal was to work for myself and own at least 2 pieces property. When I entered my teens years he bought and taught my brother and I about stocks. Finally he hired us when he started his business. While my mother worked outside the home she soon became frustrated because she felt that she was not spending enough time with my brother and I.… Continue

I haven't been on this site for a while and missed a comment you left about talking to black boys about my life lessons. I've recently published my book, 17 to Life: A Black Boy Memoir ( On Becoming a Human... Being in America). The book addresses what it was like to go from black boy to black man in this country. I would love to get feedback from you, your sons and other mothers about the content. You may also click my Youtube page to hear me reading from the first few chapters... Look forward to hearing from you and your sons.
