Hi, my name is Tracy and I am a member of the Black Mom’s Club. I am doing my dissertation on parenting stress and social support among African American mothers. I am inviting you to participate. This is an important study because there’s a lack of studies about our parenting issues and experiences.

To participate you must have a biological child between age of 5-9, married (first time) or single (not divorced or separated) and US Citizen. If husband/mate in the home, he must be biological father of at least one of your children.

Hey lady....how is it going? I hope that all is well. Jalen's dad decided that he will not be call because the child support agency gave me an extra payment. Which I knew NOTHING about. Hell I was shocked when I received it. But I know him like the back of my hand and when he was short $2000 on the first because of supporting his son he "cuts" him off so he does not have to "deal" with me. And this happens too often then not. So my solution to that problem is I will no longer allow him to be in and out of our son's life. So I will not chase him down. He will either come around or miss out on Jalen's life. He has moved on and so have I. And it was never about him but always about our son. I just don't understand. I just NEVER grew up this way. My dad is my King and that is because he is such a POSITIVE figure in my life.

Why join the Black Moms Network?
There are so many sites out there for single mothers and not many with mocha moms. I am a mocha mom and I want to learn, explore, teach, laugh, cry, and be me with women like me.
How many children do you have?
I have one beautiful son.
About Me:
I was born and raised in Brooklyn NY!!! Just recently I was medically retired from the military after 17 years....no tears....this was the BEST thing that could have happened to me in '07. I presently live in Valdosta GA, the area of my last assignment in the military. In 2010 I plan on moving to Kissimmee FL. I like it warm and relaxing. No more snow for me. I am taking a break from getting my Masters in Early Childhood Education BUT I will be back on the grind soon. I love to be out doors with my son and friends, I am the bbq Queen (less clean up!!), reading is a passion, and I am now getting into interior decorating (nothing wrong with change) and besides just bbq I just LOVE to cook. I am a single parent by choice that would not change every tear, curse, shout, scream, fear, disappointment, loneliness, smile, joy, love, enlightment, unconditional love and remarkable journey that this has taken me to get my son in my life and has sustained him here through the grace of God.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO START A BLOG ON THE INTERNET

After watching the Today Show not too long ago I would like to start a blog on the internet. The women that they had on the show were doing this and getting an income from it. I love to interact with people so why not do that and get a small income from it. So if someone can help that would be appreciated.
