We are all wonderful creations

Sometimes, we forget our Spirit. We forget how divine we are, and how we truly belong in this Universe, like every other creation. We allow circumstances to create fears, and fears to determine our success. We forget that by being born, we were given the ultimate right to enjoy every ounce of success, happiness, joy, health, and love possible. When we forget that we are created in God's image, nothing prospers. Once we realize that our power, our strength, our wisdom, our soul comes from… Continue

A Day In MY Life

Last week was something else. GiGi had surgery last Tuesday. After 6 ear infections and repeated bouts of croup, her ENT physician decided it was time to replace the tubes in her ears and remove her adenoides. The hospital here has given my the blues and made me so upset, because they didn't want to get me a referral to see an outside provider. Anyway, you can see from the pictures it was all good before and after the surgery. On Friday, I had to take Gabi to the the ENT because one of her… Continue

Happy Thursday!

Good morning moms!

My three little ones are "playing" in the background, which consists of fussing over who uses what crayon (mind you I have a classpack of crayons, so they're just arguing just because) and it's raining outside, which means Mama (me) will have to derive a multitude of distractions and stories to keep them busy! But it's all good....because while they my GET ON MY LAST BLACK NERVE many times a day, i wouldn't trade them for the world!

So when you get to… Continue

Makes Me Wanna Holler

I don't know if I like this title because of the song by Marvin Gaye or the book by Nathan McCall. Which, if you haven't read, you should. It is really an awesome book. Anyway and anyhow...

I have been wanting to start my own blog for quite sometime and well, here it is. Hopefully as the summer rolls in, the quality of my blog will improve. We currently live in the "country" and don't have the luxury of high speed internet, so adding pictures is something I do only why I have an… Continue

Where were you when the lights went out?

Where Were You When the Lights Went Out?

A little over 2 months ago, a seemingly well-adjusted 13 year old boy in Mumbai was found to have hanged himself at his home in Dadar. Immediately, the speculations started as to why young Gaurang could have chosen to die – pressure of studies and the exam system, everyone chorused. Gaurang’s parents were understandably too shocked to make any statement at all, but then, about a month after that tragic day, they spoke to the media about… Continue

Parents Follow Pediatrician Advice On Administering MMR Vaccinations

(BlackDoctor.org) -- News stories about an allegedly harmful link between the mumps, measles and rubella vaccine and the onset of autism had little effect on whether U.S. parents immunized their children, according to a review of immunization records and news stories.

Parents' decisions were more likely influenced by recommendations from their child's pediatrician, the researchers said.

Researchers from The Children's… Continue

ChildProofing Made Easy

Childproofing Made Easy

16-Jul-2007

(BlackDoctor.org) -- Many parents make the mistake of trying to childproof their houses upon the arrival of their newborn baby. Since you have little time to engage in activities with a new baby in the house it is best to childproof your home before the child is born. Begin with small adjustments and add more as your child grows and reaches milestones, such as crawling and… Continue

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO START A BLOG ON THE INTERNET

After watching the Today Show not too long ago I would like to start a blog on the internet. The women that they had on the show were doing this and getting an income from it. I love to interact with people so why not do that and get a small income from it. So if someone can help that would be appreciated.

Consoling my 14-year-old daughter

My daughter is 14 and she broke up with her boyfriend. The young man was a good friend of our family and our neighbor. This is why I approved of her having a boyfriend at this age because I knew him and of him. They both are great kids with good grades.

Well, he broke up with her and began seeing another young lady the same day.

She says she is fine, but how can I be sure? How can I console her?

One of the other Mom Club's told me to stop trying to live my life… Continue

Stepping out on faith.

Hi sistahs,

Have you ever been in a situation where you wanted to try something new or put off something that you said you were going to do for years? I for one know I have and I'm sure ya'll have too. But there is something to be said when you step out on Faith. Faith brings out the artist in us, the singers in us, the poets in us, the entrepreneurs in us - a lot of things in us that was always there but we just didn't know where to start. Happy Mother's Day to my Soul Mate!

This year I had already decided not to get flowers or a card for my mother, not because I don't love her but because I don't even know where all the cards I have received in the past are. I decided instead to dedicate every Sunday to spending time with her and my daughter. So we will have Mother/Daughter Day every Sunday as a way to celebrate our connection. Overall though I am glad there is a day to celebrate motherhood.

I was thinking about Mother's Day and how proud I am of my… Continue

What is an Affiliate Marketer?

Affiliate Marketer Defined

According to The World’s Glossary of Internet Terms, “Affiliate Marketer is defined as: “A business relationship with a merchant or other service provider who allows you to link to that business. When a visitor clicks on the link at your site and subsequently makes a purchase from the merchant, you receive a commission based on the amount of the sale, a referral fee or a pay-for-click fee.”

This is a simple, straight-forward agreement between a… Continue
