I have a son, 18 and a daughter, 7. Zaria, my daughter is the main charactar in my childrens book series called The Adventures of Princess Zaria.

We haven't yet, but I would love to. I live here in Las Vegas and I think that is a wonderful Idea to start something like that here though. I just know that many of us on the forum are in Las Vegas. I don't know where people live in the area though. Maybe we can find a common ground and find a place to meet. that would be a nice thing to do. I don't think I have formally introduced myself. I work from home and have three kids. I used to work oustide the home but took on myself to leave my job and find a job working from home. It has taken my a while but I believe I have finally done it. The funny thing is that I just started three months ago and now making almost as much as I did working from home and bringing more income!!! I would love to get together with others. Maybe we need to make that happen pretty soon. Let me know what your thoughts are and where you would like to meet. For some odd reason us folks don't talk to each other in this town...and no one knows anything about what is going on in our community....I would love to change that.

that sounds great!!! I don't know if we should set a date maybe after all the holidays? What do you think? Maybe we can find others that are also in the area. Congrats on your new one coming. I think that should start maybe at the beginning of the year?
I think it would be a great idea. Never been to the springs preserve but always wanted to go. I think that the kids would love that!!!

Thanks for the friend request. It's great to have another mother in Vegas reaching out. I've been here for two years and still have a very small circle of people/mothers. How have you adapted to Las Vegas?

I've also been here for two years. Still adjusting, but you're right this time of the year is what makes the city livable. I would love to get together. Keep me updated.

Hey. It is the second week of January. I think we should get everyone together here and see if we can make a play date. I was thinking that everyone could go to sunset park over there on eastern, talk with each other for 20 min and introduce themselves and them head on out and walk around sunset park (do 1 or two miles to get some exercise). I was thinking making a black mom's walking group. tell me what you think.

No worries. I think that we could do it maybe around the first or so of Feb. I think that something that is very informal will do just great. Just let me know if you can come and some suggestions on what we can do there. I think that we can just introduce ourselves and then go out for a walk around the park and then go home. Do maybe 2 or 3 miles if everyone is up to it? Let me know your thoughts.
